Rates and Payment
I offer a free 30-minute phone consultation to answer any questions and to evaluate fit.
Individual therapy (50-minute session): $200
Dr Jenna Therapy PLLC is a direct care therapy practice. This means Dr. Brownfield works for you, not your insurance company.
We are not in-network with any insurance companies, so your therapy will not be dictated by what your insurance deems ‘medically necessary.’ Being direct care allows us to provide you with price transparency and no surprise bills when your insurance says your therapy wasn’t covered.
We can provide you a monthly invoice, called a superbill, for our sessions. You can submit the superbill to your insurance provider if you want to be reimbursed by your insurance company via your out-of-network benefits.
Many insurance companies offer you reimbursement for out-of-network services. To find out more about possible insurance reimbursement, you can call your insurance provider (usually via the number on the back of your insurance card) or log into your insurance member portal online. Ask your insurance provider how much you can expect to be reimbursed for psychotherapy with an out-of-network provider.
We accept credit/debit card payment (including FSA or HSA cards). Payment is due, in full, at the time of each appointment.
No Surprises Act and Good Faith Estimate
If you are not using your insurance for reimbursement for my services, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. I am happy to provide you with one.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services, including psychotherapy services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services, such as psychotherapy services. The Estimate must be furnished within one business day of scheduling a service to be provided in three business days, or within three business days of scheduling a service to be provided in at least 10 business days. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
